I'm allergic to work
As soon as I got in today I had a headache. Then I got an email saying that the little boss would be out today. Yippee, skippy. You'd think my headache would go away with that news but it hasn't. I haven't even taken anything though, so it's my own fault that I still have one.
Saturday, Ed and I rode up to see my older sister. My younger sister came down from NY to visit and we stayed for a couple hours. I asked my younger sister to give me some money for the March for the Animals. Of course, she had no money with her (lies!), and the fact that her husband just bought a Cadillac Escalade is very telling. I hope she needs money from me soon. I will laugh in her face and tell her to sell her BMW. I told Ed that I don't expect my sisters to do anything for me, but she could at least give me a couple bucks. She's a dentist for God's sakes. What dentist doesn't have an extra 20? I might even have an extra 20 if someone asked for it. MIGHT!
The ride was nice though. It was a little chilly on the way home but I felt bad for Ed. He doesn't have a pair of heated gloves or a heated jacket like I do, but he stays a lot warmer than I. So, at one point he said he was freezing and we were still about an hour away. I told him to lead and stop when he felt ready but he never stopped. He said he was just being a baby. That's my boy!!
Sunday I made the dreaded mistake of going to David's Bridal at 2 in the afternoon. It was a madhouse, but I had to get my dress size anyway, so I tried on the dress, and left the store. I probably made it in and out in 10 minutes. Impressive, huh? Ed was really surprised at how fast I was. I ordered the dress this morning over the phone. It's so much easier.
I also watched teh first season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. That's the show on HBO that is produced or directed and starring Larry David from Seinfeld. It's really funny. Check it out if you get a chance. If you don't like Seinfeld you won't like this show. Just a warning.

I didn't even know you were engaged. This is news to me! :-)
Huh?! It's news to me too.
OH!I had to pick up a bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding on Labor Day. I guess I left that part out. Sorry. I have to go read about your trip. Welcome back.
that show is funny, but, GOD it makes me SO uncomfortable. i can't watch it. no more than an episode at a time. jeez.
Funny. I was also at David's bridal this weekend, at 2 pm, picking out a dress to wear for my brother's wedding, the weekend BEFORE Labor Day. Good to know that I am on track, timing wise. :)
i've watched 1/2 an episode of Curb...and i didn't like it. which is strange, because i liked seinfeld. i must not be hip enough to get it or something.
Some of those shows are hilarious, some are kind of dull. I don't remember what season it was on but did you see the one where he picked up a hooker so he could use the carpool lane? Oh man, that was great.
Grace-Really? Oooh, do tell.
Berrgirl-The dress takes 6-8 weeks for delivery, so if you order by July 1 you should be fine.
LE-What's not to like. It's just a quirky funny I guess. The more you watch the better it gets because things are intertwined.
CL-that wasn't in season 1 so maybe the next season. I'll probably watch season 2 tonight.
V-It's on HBO. I hadn't heard of it either until my coworker told me about it and loaned me the dvds.
