Suddenly Seymour
..standing beside you..la-la-la.
Little Shop of Horrors was outstanding!! I don't know what else to say. As soon as the people started coming onstage I remembered everything about the movie that I had seen many many moons ago. Steve Martin as the dentist, Rick Moranis as Seymour, Gina and Pam from Martin as the sideline singers. Such memories. This show was even better than the movie.
It was really cool how the plant moved and talked just like in the movie. In the end, this guy with knee and elbow pads popped out of the plants mouth and started waving at everyone. I waved back. I'm like a little kid in the theater. Those people are singing to me, and looking at me! I have to wave back. hee hee.
If you've been following my blog since the early days, there is a fat couple that sits on the end of our row. Well, Ed and I are always the last people in our row to get to our seats. So, he suggested we cross the fat people on the aisle instead of bothering the 6 or 8 on the other side. I told him it probably wasn't a good idea, but we did it anyway. The fat people huffed and puffed, but they finally got out of their seats and moved. Ed said 'maybe this will be motivation for them to lose weight.' I doubt it will though. They already bought the aisle seats knowing they would want some extra space, but if you're in the aisle, don't you know people will want to cross by you? I wonder why I keep saying cross. I think I should say pass by. I'm not really sure which word is more correct.
Savion Glover (from 'Bring in the Noise, Bring in the Funk') will be tap dancing his heart out on May 4-5. I think I might get tickets for my mom for mother's day to go see the show with us. I know she'll want to come by my house and visit, but I'd prefer if we just go went to eat. It's a weekday, so I'm not sure if she's into it. I'll call and find out. My sisters and I treated her to Bring in the Noise a couple years ago in NY city. She loved it. So..I can see my secret boyfriend on stage again, my mom and dad will be happy and I will be happy.

Strange coincidence - I caught that on television (for the first time in ten years) on Saturday night! I was amazed that I still had all of the words rolling through my head. Levi Stubbs as Audrey was da bomb, yo
