Election 2004
I was debating as to whether I should even write something about the election, but then I decided that I should put in my two cents along with everyone else.
I went to my polling place yesterday after work. The neighborhood that the school is in is a little secluded and out of the way, so when there were tons of cars turning onto the street, I knew they were there to vote. One lady, was trying to get across 3 lanes of traffic in order to get into the proper lane. She was driving about 2mph also. I was two cars behind her on the exit ramp of the highway, so I totally laid on the horn. If you can't merge, it's not my problem. Get out of my way. So I tried to get around her, but she was literally perpendicular to traffic trying to cut across the lanes. I went straight insted of turning left and made a uturn up the street. Then she saw me, and decided that maybe she should do the same thing. I'm now racing this lady to get to the school before she does. I pull into the parking lot, walk inside, show my id, vote, get back in my car and she was just now pulling up to the school. All I could do is laugh. People are funny. HA!!HA!!
There were about 10 booths in my polling location, and only 8 of them were full when I went in. There were a couple people in the lines where you check in, but no one was in my line. YAY!! I was dreading going to the polls because I hate waiting in line, so I was happy when everything was free and clear.
I'm not saying who I voted for, I will just say that I'm glad I voted. May the best man win.
