YB Likes to Argue

No matter what I say, YB always has to be so contradictory. I say red, and he says blue. I say twinkies and he says ho hos. Half the time I know he's joking, but the other half I'm not really sure. (I'm just making you look bad, YB) :)

YB and I usually have morning discussions. Today we were talking about adoption. I really would like to adopt a child. I think I have mentioned this before, but I can't recall and I'm not doing a search on my blog. My brother is adopted, and we had tons of foster kids in and out of our house when I was growing up. I always thought that when I was old enough to adopt a kid, I would. I'm now old enough, but I'm still pretty selfish. I think that I would like to adopt a child from the US, but I hear it's pretty hard and it takes a long time, so if I have to go to another country to find a child, so be it.

Why do I want to adopt a kid? I think there are so many unfortunate kids in the country (world) that just want and need loving parents. If I can help one, then I have done my job. I know it will not be easy, but I am ready for the challenge. I think I can do it, and that kid would be appreciative, and grow up knowing that he or she has loving parents and safe place to live and grow up and turn their lives around. I think it's worth a shot.

I would also like to have one or two kids of my own too. I don't necessarily want to pass on all of my genes, but maybe they will have all the good ones, and the bad ones will be stuck with me. I will flip out if I have a baby, and it's arms don't straighten, or it has crusty, pinky toenails. I'll be really upset then! HA!!HA!! I guess it's just a chance you take. I'll know that my kid can't be a toe model or a gymnast, but that if anything, they definitely come from me and that they are responsible for passing the genes down the line. That's ok.

Allright, that's my pro-adoption/kids speech for the morning. Now it's back to the regular grind. In reality, I think I just want to be a stay at home mom and I can't do that if I don't have kids. If anyone knows of a rich, single, available man that has great genes, tell him about my blog, please.
