Comments and Hotel Rwanda

OK..No one has comments right now except the old blogger ones. I don't know what's going on. Last night when I got home, I got online and I only had the blogger comments. I didn't remember messing with my template. I closed my computer and rebooted and then I had the haloscan comments. I hope this is only a temporary thing.

Today at the 9am meeting the guy asked me if I had the data from Friday's run. This time I smiled and said 'Yes, I have it' and that was it. What else can he say to me? Too funny. Jerks.

I watched "Hotel Rwanda" last night. That movie was quite touching. I had a mix of emotions. Of course, the French had to kill the Rwandans. Are they good for anything? Seriously? It seems that whenever they are involved, they screw up. I'd hate to be French in these times. If you haven't seen it, check it out. Also watch the features. Don Cheadle does a scene commentary. His voice sounds nice. He mentioned a wife though, unfortunately. I don't think he's cute, but his voice was pretty soothing. Check it out.

Wasn't the French -- it was the Belgians. They were pretty messed up Colonizers. Only the Dutch were worse (the Dutch were monsters). I had to read several books about the genocide for an African Studies class in college. Most of the books claim that one of the main reasons for the genocide was the racial divide the Belgians sparked between the Hutus and the Tutsi during the colonial period. There already was mistrust between the groups, but the Belgians made it much, much worse.

Okay, end history lesson.

I know the Belgians caused the fighting between the Rwandans, but in the special feature setion, there is a segment about how the French soldiers were guarding the burial site. A lot of Rwandans were going to the burial site as a safe haven, but the French soldiers were killing them when they got there.

ahh.. I didn't know about that. That's really sad. Strange to think it happened only about 10 years ago.
