Travels With Charlie
When I was on vacation, I took the book "Cape Ann" along with me. It was an easy to read story narrated by a 6 year old who lived in Minnesota. It aws about her daily life. It was funny and a very good book. Once I got home, I guess I was in a reading mood because I wanted to read another book.
I chose "Travels With Charlie" by John Steinbeck. I had heard good things about it, but never got the chance to read it. After vacation, it was the perfect book. The things he explained and the impressions he got of the people in the small towns and out of the way areas were very similar to my impressions and this book was written at least 40 years ago. If you enjoy traveling and reading about others' travels, you should read this book. Charlie is Steinbeck's poodle and goes along on the journey.
Now I'm reading the BFG by Roald Dahl. Some of you might have read this in school when you were younger, but I never had the opportunity. I really liked Roald Dahl when I was younger, and this book so far is excellent.
I watched Napoleon Dynamite for the second time last night (too funny), and I watched the documentary Naked World. It's about a photographer, Spencer Tunick, who travels to many different countries and takes pictures of naked individuals and groups for the sake of art. Some of his work was really good. Sometimes I caught myself saying "I would have had the people doing this, or that" instead of laying down on the road, but I'm no photographer, so I just shut up.
I've had a busy week and I'm ready to relax over the weekend.

Hello Peachy,
Read Travels Wth Charlie many years ago. I reccomend the Cannery Row books he wrote also, and the movie based on them. More important, wanted to say that my wife and I participated in 3 Tunick shoots last year, and I have plans to be in one next month if all goes well.
Roger
That's awesome Roger.
