Manager, Schmanager
I lied. The position wasn't posted on our company website yesterday. Maybe it had to do with the HR lady being off. I'm pretty sure the little boss told me it would be up on Friday, so I just assumed it would be there.
Now I'm totally reconsidering. I like being a worker bee (well not really, but it keeps me out of harm's way). I had a meeting an hour ago about something stupid that I worked on last year. LAST YEAR and my project still isn't closed out. That goes to show what type of place this is. Everyone that was working on the project with me is either fired, or quit, or fired and then rehired, but YB and I are the only real constant on the project. So, we go to this meeting, and my new boss, the manufacturing guy and some microbiology consultant were up there laughing and yapping away about this and that. YB and I just stared at each other across the room.
If being manager means laughing at corny, stupid jokes, I want no part in it. YB says it's all politics and stuff, but I'm not into that. No one at work needs to know whether I'm a democrat, republican or independent. *wink*
