Mind Your P's and Q's
Yesterday while watching the football game, Eric (Ed's brother) tells us that he knows where the term above came from. Of course, I was interested. He said that in England or Ireland, when people got out of hand at the bar, the bartender told them to 'mind their pints and quarts.' I thought that was pretty neat. I like learning where um..I forget what those types of things are called, but phrases like that. Ed then said 'Oh, I thought it was mind your pricks and quim.' He and Eric started laughing. I asked them what they were talking about because I had never heard that word before. So, I told him that he and his brothers make up words all the time and no one will know what it means.
This morning, I had to ask my friend who has done it all. YB! hee hee. He knew what it was, and Spacebrain didn't. I think YB was probably laughing on the inside because he wouldn't expect me to say that or ask what it was. HA!!HA!! He said it was a word used in the 70s a lot. Have you heard that word before? Now that you know it, don't let it slip out. It's bad.
