I'm Alive

This weekend I went to Natural Bridge, VA with the Motor Maids and learned how to knit. I'm making a scarf with variagated thread. It's beige, blue, green and maybe a dark brown. I'm not sure how many different colors are in it, but it's going to be awesome once I finish it. :)

My mom had a bronchoscopy done on Friday of last week, and for some reason, the tests that she did before Friday were wrong, because after her bronchoscopy, they said her lungs (or whatever) don't really look bad, and she can breathe better than the initial test said. So...she has the clearance to go to Africa without having to worry about carrying some crazy oxygen tank on her back. I'm happy about that. She's leaving Friday. She did tell me that she had decided she wasn't going to go because if something did happen with the oxygen on the plane, they would have to do an emergency landing and get her to the hospital. She didn't want to inconvenience everyone on the plane, so she thought she wasn't going to go. Now, she's all set and ready to go.

I think we got about 12" of snow over the weekend. It was a lot, however much it was, but the roads were fine. I didn't get a chance to play in it because I was in Va, and then when I came home, I went to a birthday party for Ed's brother. As soon as that was over, I went right to bed. I think Ed wanted a massage, but I didn't get the hint. HA! I'm not a romantic. hee hee. YB told me what he was up to.

I went to the gym this morning and rode the bicycle 3 miles and ran 2 miles. Not bad for someone who hasn't been exercising in a while. Tomorrow I'll increase my speed on the treadmill and raise my seat on the bike. I felt like I was running slow, but I have to ease my way back into things. The gym is nice. I'm running a 5k around St. Patty's day. It's called The Shamrock Run and I don't want to be huffing and puffing when I do it, so I'm trying to get in shape for it. Then I have the annual Race for the Cure in May with my sister, so I have two races in the near future.

That's my weekend in a nutshell.
