Thoroughly Modern Millie

A while back, I was talking about a lady named Millie, and my coworker asked me if she was thoroughly modern. I had no idea what he was talking about, so Yankeebob and I looked it up and found out that "Thoroughly Modern Millie" was an award winning musical. It just so happened that this show was coming to Baltimore so I got tickets. I went to see the show last Tuesday at the Hippodrome. The Hippodrome is a theater that was built in 1914, closed some time after that, and was remodeled and restored this past February. I figured since I hadn't been to a show in a long time, and I would be spending money in downtown Baltimore it would be a perfect opportunity to get out of my house.

The show was excellent. The patrons didn't seem snobby to me at all, and the theater was nice and really clean. I think there are plans to decorate a little more as the walls were quite bare, but the painting and the architecture throughout the building is just amazing. You can do a search for the show if you're interested. I won't bore you with the details, but I'm so happy I went. If you haven't gotten a chance to see a musical live in the theater, it is something you won't regret. No matter how boring or bad you think the show will be, it won't be. They keep it interesting for all people and all ages.

I love musicals. I used to go a lot, but haven't been for a while. You may have just inspired me to check out what's playing downtown!
