Fresh Air is Good for the Soul
Last week I scheduled an appointment to have a new front tire put on my bike. I have needed a front tire for a while, and I just never replaced it. So..Monday, it's cool. I'm feeling fine and everything's roses. Tuesday I was sick and my appointment got changed from Wednesday (rain) to Thursday. Well yesterday I did NOT want to ride 15 miles to get my tire changed. It was a little chilly (40s) and the sky was cloudy and grey. I knew that if I took a ride, it would probably make me feel better but I just didn't want to do it. I watched Judge Judy and then I started putting on my chaps, boots, goggles, bandanna etc.. Once I hit the road, I felt great! I turned my heated jacket and gloves on warm because I had to stop at the gas station.
I got to the gas station and these kids in some white car kept honking at me. I turned to look at them, and the driver looked like Ahmed from the Contender (Veronica will be the only one that gets this reference). They asked where the nearest car wash was, but it was just a conversation starter. I told them where it was and that I was running late and had to go. I left the gas station and they followed me and kept honking. Kids..sheesh! hee hee.
I got my front tire changed, found out that my back tire is the wrong size, but it'll be ok. Once I got home, I felt like a million dollars. I think riding and fresh air really can work wonders. You would think that being exposed to all the wind and cold wouldn't be good for you, but it has always helped me. Now that everything's said and done, I'm so happy I got my tire replaced and went riding last night. I'm ready to go again..soon!

No, I think they just wanted to talk to me. When I'm on my bike people like to talk to me for some reason.
Their horn was so annoying. It sounded like a dying cow.
fresh air can feel great..even if it's a little chilly. glad you're feeling better.
Peachy the Pimp... has a nice ring to it :D hehe j/k Look at you! Have all these young men drooling all over you ;) Meow.
I haven't cycled since January. Looking forward to getting back to Melbourne and starting again. Of course it's coming into winter there now. Damn...
