Bob's Gone

Well, today is the dreaded day that Spacebrain and I walk into work without our beloved YB. It's pretty depressing. Spacebrain only made 1/2 pot of coffee, and I drink coffee sometimes, but today I'll have to share the pot with him just so it doesn't look so pathetic.

Luckily, I have some work to do alone today, so I can just chill in the back areas of the building, and no one will bother me.

I had to interview a guy yesterday for the manager position. He was nice, but he doesn't know a lot about the technical things we do here. If I have technical questions, I would like to ask my manager. Unfortunately, he's not the one. All I asked in the interview is what equipment does he have experience, and most of the answers were 'very little.' The new big boss liked him though and she said he doesn't have to have experience, since he's been a manager before. I disagreed and told her that I knew more than he did regarding some equipment (I'm modest. hee hee)I also told her I was considering applying for the position, but that had no bearing on whether I liked the other guy or not. After I told her that, I thought -you know, I don't want to be bothered. That is a combination of lethargy and apathy at its best, right there.
