How Did I Know?

I called Ed after work today and left a message asking him to stop by when he finished his day.

He called me back around 5:45 saying that he was still down in DC, and he wouldn't be able to stop by because his brother was waiting for him at his house, and he had to meet him. I said 'Well, maybe you can stop by tomorrow.' He said he doesn't think he'll be able to. I said, 'Ok, well call me when you think you can stop by.' He agreed, and we said our goodbyes.

I didn't ask him whether he was going to the motorcycle expo tomorrow. I have to volunteer for the Motor Maids from 2-4.

His brother is totally bringing him down. I guess he is now the official babysitter, and that's really unfortunate. Now that his brother is on bad drugs, he gets thrown into the mix, and can't do his own thing. That's sad. Honestly.

So I don't know when I will talk to him, but he'll call me when he's ready. You would think that he has 5 minutes of his life to talk to his girlfriend, but I'm not going to sweat it. His brother's drug problem is way more important than me.

I'm going to the expo tomorrow and I will have a great time. I still wonder-was he going to the expo because I had to volunteer, or he was really interested in going. That question will always be on my mind. Does he do the things he does for me, or because he wants to? I will probably never know the answer.
