Smart People are Curious People
Do you think this title statement is true?
I'm smart (today, that is), and I like learning and I like to do new things. I moved around a lot when I was little, so I always had something new to see or do. Moving all the time causes someone to either become a strong extrovert or a strong introvert. That's from my personal research. I am the strong extrovert. I will talk to anyone and am very friendly on the outside. I may hate you on the inside, but I'm still friendly enough for simple conversation.
I can't understand the people that don't want to do new things. What makes you not want to explore/learn?
Here's an example-There is a street in Hamden (a neighborhood in Bmore) called 34th street. Every Christmas, everyone decorates their houses, and tons of people drive to this street to see the lights and take tours of the people's houses. It's basically 'A Miracle on 34th street.' Well, they have lottery commercials on tv, and one of the lottery commercials spotlights some of these people's houses. One guy has trains running through the house, and another person has a hubcap Christmas tree. I asked Ed if he had ever gone to 34th street around Christmastime. He lives off 40th by the way, so it's right down the street. He didn't know anything about it. I was SHOCKED. It's right outside of his door and he has no idea. This has been going on for many years, and he has no idea? I just don't get it.
