Weekend Update
I had to drive down to Va early Saturday morning, but I made it home in time for the Redskins game.
Wild-card weekend wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. It started off great, with the Redskins intercepting the ball and then recovering a fumble for two touchdowns. Then the game fizzled out. I started watching the NE/Jacksonville game and I ended up falling asleep around 10. I knew who would win that game.
Sunday, I woke up, studied a bit, and went to Ed's mom's house to watch the Sunday games. Ed's nieces were coming over to celebrate their Christmas with grandma, so the whole crew headed over. I wasn't that interested in the Panthers/Giants game, but I was rooting for the Giants, and they played really bad. I though the Bengals/Steelers game was going to be good, and I was rooting for the Bengals. Once Carson Palmer got hurt, I wasn't sure if they would be able to pull out a win. Although Jon Kitna played his heart out, the Steelers were too good for them. That makes me sad because I wanted the Bengals to go all the way.
Oh, my teacher said that he would write up lesson plans for me, and I would just have to basically read the notes, and that's how I would teach the class. I emailed him on Sunday morning reminding him to send me the lesson plan before class starts (Thursday). I also told him that I could write up a lesson plan if he gives me the headings that I need, but I'd have to charge him for them. He wrote back 'What plans do you have written down so far? I don't think there will be enough students to have a class this semester, but I will contact you in the spring in case you're still interested.' I told him that it's ok, and I was excited to teach the class, but I understand if there's not enough interest. I also wrote that I would drop off the book that he loaned to me at some point. So..that's the end of my budding teaching career. I'm happy and sad. I can use the extra time wisely, now that I have it, but I was excited about teaching.
Cats is playing tomorrow night. The million dollar question is-will I be going alone?
