Happy Memorial Day
I hope everyone had a good one. I didn't do too much.
Saturday night I went out with my friend Andrea that moved to TX a few months ago. She was here for the weekend.
We went out in Federal Hill and sang karaoke at this total dive bar. It's such a dive that we only had to wait for one song before it was our turn. The bartender said 'do you want to buy a drink?' I wanted to say no, but then I felt bad that we were only at the bar to sing one song. So, Andrea and I split a Miller Lite. We sang 'I Love Rock and Roll' and she was yelling that she was a new mom, and everyone was cheering and stuff. Her baby is 9 months old, but it was pretty funny.
Then we went to the bar where we met (I used to wait tables/bartend), and she was my trainer. It was like a dance club. Kind of weird, but too crowded to get a drink, so we watched people dance and then moved on.
After the bars closed, we went to get pizza at the neighborhood pizza place, and we were talking to all these people from outside the windows. We kept banging on the glass to get people's attention, and were trying to hook up the people inside with each other. It's hard to explain, but it was hilarious. Andrea's friend was buying the pizza, and it was too crowded inside, so we were waiting outside. One guy was trying to rub against me, I heard, but I was focused on something else, and pretty much ignored that weird guy. He was probably about 22 or 23. Doesn't he realize I'm an old lady? HA!!HA!!
So Sat. was fun. Sunday I didn't do much, Monday I didn't do much, and now it's back to work. I wish I had more exciting stuff to share, but I don't.
