Selfish Me

A coworker just came back from a very long disability. She loves anything purple. A long time ago, she mentioned that she liked my purple water bottle. Months after she was on disability, I sent an extra water bottle that I had around the house to her. It was new, I just had a spare.

Well, now she's back, and I haven't heard her say 'thank you' to me yet. I'm sure she's busy doing whatever people do when they come back from a very long disability, but that's besides the point. I then emailed another coworker with this sentence.

"I give so that I can hear people say thank you. Not because I care."

I'm going straight to hell. Who's with me?

You really can learn a lot about people in the most random ways. I hope she breaks the other side of her body. HA!!HA!!
