Musicals, Spelling and Colds, Oh My

After my weekend of hanging out and staying out late, I caught a cold. I guess I couldn't outride it. hee hee.

I went to the first show of the year at the Hippodrome last night. It was 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.' I'm sure you have never heard of it, because I have never heard of it. It was really good. They pulled 4 people out of the audience to participate, which I thought was really cool. At first they gave the people in the audience easy words (jihad, Mexican, cow), and then they gave this one guy a hard word. He actually spelled it right, and the principal of the school started laughing and said 'You actually spelled it right.' The whole audience started laughing and cheering.

Of course, there were songs in between the words and stuff, but it was a good musical. I was even able to find a parking spot on the street, so I didn't have to pay the 7 bucks for event parking.

I got home around 10:30, and was supposed to go back into work at 1a to do a study. Well, I overslept. I had my phone set and my regular alarm clock set, and either they didn't go off, or I heard them and cut them off. I ended up waking up at 5:30. oops. I'll have to do that study later this week or next week.

I'm not sure if I'm going to work today. I don't really want to contaminate the others in my cubicle area, and I guess I'd rather chill out at home, but there are things I could be doing today. It's not the end of the world if I stay home. Decisions, decisions.
