Busy Weekend

I worked third shift on Thursday night, which means I had to go to bed at 7p, wake up at 11, and get to work by midnight. Last time I was supposed to work that shift I overslept. I made it on time, and the people weren't ready for me. I ended up taking a nap at my desk until about 2, and didn't actually start my study until aboutu 3:30a. I worked until about 6:30 and headed home. I slept almost all day Friday, except I went to Sushi Friday with the old coworkers. How fun.

Friday afternoon I watched Brokeback Mountain. It wasn't what I thought it would be. It was kind of a "love story," but the love was over a 20 year period, and that wasn't really love to me, but lust. I'm going to spoil it here, but they would go meet up in WY for a week and just have man-sex. The first love scene, they were sleeping in the tent together, and Heath Ledger got up and just started banging Jake Gyllenhall. They didn't talk, they didn't kiss, they just had sex. That's not very loving to me for a first time, but I guess they liked it raw. ha ha. I give the movie 2 stars. It wasn't worth all the hype.

Friday night I didn't do much. Saturday I went to visit Mom-mom and my old coworker Eva. Mom-mom's doing ok. She thought she was robbed of a beige blazer with the tags on it, but I told her it was probably misplaced. She does have a lot of clothes. I also told her that if someone had to steal from her, they probably needed it more than she did, and she can always get another blazer. I think that made her feel better. She's coming down for Thanksgiving.

Saturday night, Ryan, his friend Brian and I headed out to white trash town for a bull roast. Of course, Lisa's family is big into this bull-roast, so we had two tables full of people to chill with. It was SO much fun. We danced, ate, sang, and had a great time. One note to the guy at the next table over-rat tails went out in 1988. HA!!HA!! People were dressed in all sorts of bad clothes, but they were steppin' out, so I can't fault them. Everyone had fun. After that we went to the Pine for karaoke, but when we got there, they were singing "Proud to be an American," and that's the last song of the night. Boooo. I had my song ready too.

Sunday, I woke up to cold weather and the Ravens game. Oh, before the game, here's what I ate: a 1/2 turkey sandwich and chicken and rice soup from Panera, a third of a baguette, a chicken caesar salad, and two slices of pizza. Then I got the bar and ate a bowl of chili. I think I have a worm. HA!!HA!! Sometimes I get REALLY hungry, and Sunday was my big day for that. I got free beers, and the Ravens won. Sunday night I read my book and watched some random tv.

I hope everyone else had a fun weekend. I think this was our Indian summer, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
