NFL Referees

Ok, now I'm really mad.
I was just about to post a short statement about my favorite referee. I don't even know how to spell his name. Not to do any injustice to the man, I got on the NFL website to see if they had it listed. There is nothing on the referees. All the men in black/white do for the game, and they don't even have a link or a little blurb about what they do in the offseason, whether they are married with kids, etc.. What a crock!! I just wanted to see his name in print. No wonder the referees are always on strike.

On a better note, I will say that if I could have any job in the world, I would be an NFL referee. Of course, I would wait until it's common for women to do that. I wouldn't want to be the pioneer (although I wouldn't mind blowing my whistle at a few of those guys. hee hee). That's too difficult.

In closing, to my dearest Ed Hockule-sorry I spelled your name wrong, and I'll be watching you this season if no one else is. :)

I think you should just quit your job and become a referee. Like your post of 8/12 said, it would be exciting. And to pioneer the women's referee movement would assure you of immortality, in the celebrity sense! Go for it!

You know, I don't think I've ever heard of a Referee Fan before. You are unique.
