Do You Know This Person?

There are a couple people that I work with that I would like to talk about today. One lady is obsessed with the color purple. Every day she has on 20 different things in 20 shades of purple. My favorite colors are purple and green, but she takes it to the extreme. I guess it's a good thing that she is so into it because her friends and family can get her anything purple and she will like it. I'm telling you, this lady has purple shoes, socks, earrings, glasses, scarves, shirts, sweaters, bracelets, necklaces, etc..Then, you walk into her office and she has purple pens, notebads, mirrors, flowers, mardi gras beads (he he he), and notebooks just to name a few. Even the area where she works has been painted purple because she is a long time worker here and that's how they say 'thanks' to her. It's unreal.

Another person here is a man that works in the next building over. I don't know how I picked up on this, but somehow I did, and I haven't been proven wrong yet. Every single day, this guy wears a blue button down shirt and khaki pants. We don't have a required uniform here, which is a good thing. The dress code is business casual. Now I'm a little more casual than business, but I haven't been fired yet, so I guess that's ok. I am more like business comfy. hee hee. I guess if you wear the same thing every day you don't have to worry about what to wear. Should I wear this blue shirt, or this blue shirt? This pair of khakis or, oh, I know, this pair of khakis. Now we're talkin'. It's just an interesting thing I've noticed over a year. I guess his friends and family are happy also. Blue shirt-check, khakis-check!

I always wonder about people I see on a daily basis too. I usually start a conversation with them so it doesn't stay a mystery too long. It can backfire though. You may get stuck with a clingy office friend that no one wants to have around.

I firmly believe that the guy thinks he is being sensible. I believe the woman has very little in her life that makes her happy. She probably has several good memories associated with the color purple. This is only based on the loose descriptions given by you. I am by no means a psychologist...:)

Nina-I don't know either of them very well, but as far as the purple lady, there is not much else to say. Just imagine a person wearing all different shades of purple every single day. Everything in her office, work area, car, and most likely house is purple. Whatever it was that made her that happy must have been really good.
