I'm a Blogging Maniac
HA!!HA!! I used the word blogging as if I was saying the f-word. That makes me laugh (let's pretend I'm 10 everybdoy). But..I meant it to mean that I can't stop writing thoughts down today.
Now that no one works here anymore, and we aren't getting raises, the little boss has rallied for those in our department that are still here. Friday, she told us that we can have casual Fridays everyday! How awesome is that? Normally we have to wear business casual on M-R, and then Friday, we could dress casually. Well, that's what some of us assumed once the President got fired, and I am one of those that assumed that. No one actually ever said that we were still supposed to be casual on Fridays and some still dressed up on Fridays because they are afraid of 'the man.'
Here's my dilemma. I wear the same clothes all the time. I don't have a big wardrobe, so even my business casual clothes weren't exactly business casual. hee hee. They were like one step up from casual Friday casual. I might wear a little sweater, but I still wore corduroys, khaki jeans (yeah, they're kind of strange pants) or my black pants that are really supposed to be kind of dressy, but I've worn them so much they have knee indentations from when I sit and then stand. So..now that we have casual everydays, I don't know what to wear. I want to go out and buy new jeans and get some new cute sweaters (I wear kind of baggy, non-form fitting clothes usually). BUT..we aren't getting raises. So, why should I have to go out and spend money to wear casual clothes, when I am not earning any more $$? I guess i'll just have to wear my business casual stuff until after the new year when I feel like attempting to go to the mall again.
The other thing that makes me sad about our new casual fridays is that I only have 3 or 4 pairs of jeans that I would wear to work. So that leaves me with one day available. Do you think shorts are acceptable? What about warm-ups? Leggings (HA!!HA!! The eighties ruled)? This is more of a dilemma than I thought. At least I can wear my tennis shoes. That makes me happy. I almost went out and bought new dress socks, too. Now I don't have to. If I have to wear dress socks, I think I can stand one sliding down my foot every other hour, so I don't have to spend 8 bucks. I really have problems sometimes. BYE! :)
