Birds of a Feather
The saying 'birds of a feather, flock together' is usually true, I've found out. The dumb girl on the mean website is now gone. Not because of me (well..no guarantees on that), but because she just isn't smart. Poor girl with child. She doesn't understand some of the words that we used when talking to her like 'passive aggressive' or 'peasant.' Now, I don't KNOW that she doesn't understand them, but when she replied to someone that used a "big word", her reply didn't even address what the other person was talking about.
The majority of the people on the website are professionals who have desk jobs and sit around "working" with the computer 8 hours a day. They are well-read, opinionated, and smart, but are still able to enjoy silly movies, play video games, and carry on with life like everyone else. The difference between being smart and being dumb, to me, is that you can adapt to a million situations. If you go to a Nascar race, you can hang with the best of them, and if you are at an inaugural ball, you can still mix and mingle with that crowd. People who are smart have done a lot of different things in their lifetime, have a lot of experiences, and aren't stuck in some sheltered life where they don't know anything but their backyard and the 5 friends they've had since kindergarden. It's really sad.
Again, I'm obviously not the smartest person in town, by any means, but I am glad that I moved around a lot, got to meet and talk to different types of people, and have been afforded many opportunities to do things that I never would have thought I would do. I guess I'll have to thank my parents. My mom and dad are both super smart!
