I Have To Stop Being So Cheap
This morning when I got to work, I noticed a noise coming from my shoe. It was like a little rattle. After I got my coffee drink thing, I sat at my desk and noticed that there was a rock in the sole of my shoe.
The soles of my shoes have little rubber squares/shapes along the bottom. They're pretty worn out, but one square has completely worn away and there is just a hole that you can stick your finger in. The hole doesn't go all the way to my sock though. No one would ever see it if I was walking normally. Next to the hole, there's a square with three quarters of it, cut open or worn open, rather. So, with YB standing at my desk, I saved the rock (pretty good sized) and threw it away.
Just now I heard the rattling noise again! I looked at the shoe on the left where I had saved the rock earlier and there was nothing there. I looked at my right shoe and there was a teeny weeny square that had worn away. Well, there were three rocks inside. I could be a one man band, dancing to the beat of my own drum with these rocks that keep getting stuck in my shoes.
The cheap part about this story is that I only wear these shoes to work. I think they were 25 dollars at Value City and the only reason why I went in there in the first place was because I desperately needed shoes and I didn't want to go far from home to get them. I guess they've done a good job for me, and I should buy a new pair..decisions, decisions.

Rather ironic I had some shoe issues this week as well.
Now that I think about it, I should post about it.
I am cheap about my shoes too. I wish we could go shoe shopping! :)
Ok Merritt, I'll be on the lookout.
I don't like to buy cheap shoes, Quyen because they usually don't last long or they don't fit, but we can go next time I'm in Cali. (we'll probably both need them by then, right?)
