True Friends
I sent an email to both of my friends that had showers this past weekend asking how it was and apologizing for not being able to make it.
My friend that had the baby shower said 'I knew you weren't going to show up, but I still had a glimmer of hope that you would.' hee hee. She said she had a good time and is ready for her baby to be born. I'm just not sure whether it is supposed to happen in August or September. She's the best.
My friend that had the bridal shower hasn't gotten back to me. I'm sure she's just busy (she is a doctor), but she's been my friend longer than the baby shower girl, so she should also know the same. Plus, I'm sure my other friend told her I made other plans because of the disorganization. They know how I am. If you can't get a plan together, I'm not waiting around for you to figure out a plan. I'm not getting any younger.
In other news, Ed is trying to convince me to let him move in, so he can sell his house and WE can make $50,000. I told him that although the money is tempting (not really), I'm not living with another person until I'm married. So...that was that. I told him if he doesn't have anyplace to go with one big dog and two small dogs, there's no reason for him to leave. The value of his house will continue to rise whether he's there or not. I did tell him that if he wants to sell his house, my dad and I will buy it, clean it up and sell it for what the going rate is (rehabed houses in his neighborhood are around 250,000), and he'd be mad. I gave him that option, but he still has nowhere to go. I guess he's staying in his house for a little longer.
