Wednesday Nonsense
After work, I'm supposed to change the brakes on my car with my dad. He's a former military guy, so he has access to the military base, and all its facilities. There is a hobby shop (car bays, garage) that he volunteers in, and that's where I'm supposed to go to work on my brakes. Well, my military sticker expired a couple years ago, but as long as I have the insurance cards, I can get on base (apparently). Well, the insurance company sent my dad the insurance cards by email and not by fax, and he doesn't know how or can't download them onto his computer and print them off. He's leaving for TN on Friday, so I really need to have him help me with these brakes, or I'll end up paying an arm and a leg. I hope he can forward the email to me, and I can print off the cards.
I finally finished the last segment of my pharmacy applications. I just have to pay the money and then pray really hard. hee hee. Actually, I have to take the test at the end of January, and then I can start praying really hard. I checked out a couple pharm. school aptitude test books from the library, and I got them extended until the end of Dec., so that should be enough time for me to brush up on my chemistry and biology. The math and English portions, I'm not too worried about.
Ed's brother is getting married this weekend. I love being a guest of someone in the wedding. I get to go eat good food at the rehearsal dinner, show up just in time for the wedding, and eat and drink at the reception-ALL FOR FREE. I still haven't figured out what I'm going to get them for a present. I thought about giving them Cats tickets, but the seats available aren't the best. I bet it would still be a good show, so maybe I should just get them tickets. I wish I had gotten them tickets when I got ours. Ed and I are going to see Cats in January on Tuesday night (our regular theatre night), but I bought the tickets early and we're sitting center orchestra, row A or B. I think Row A. How awesome is that? I have never seen Cats, so this is my big chance.
Oh, the girls in my class were getting mad at me when I was told them that I bought a nice, long wool coat to wear this weekend (the temp is dropping to highs in the 40s starting tomorrow), and I wasn't going to paint my nails or wear makeup. I told them I had clear polish on, and that was fine. So, on Thursday in class, we're having a beauty day and they are bringing nail polish and letting me know what colors and stuff will be good to wear for makeup. ugh! hee hee. I'll listen, and I'll paint my nails. I might even wear some lipstick. That will have to do. I am getting my hair done, so that's a start. Apparently they all love Mac makeup and say it's good for people with dark skin. Who knew? hee hee.
