First Vacation Days are Planned

Last night Ed and I planned the first half of our summer vacation. I don't know how many vacation days I will actually have because I've taken off a few here and there for my Mom-mom, and will probably have to take a few more off (that's another story), so I planned a few days. I'm doing a lot of repeat rides this summer, but I am excited about them. Here's the preliminary list.

April 21-23: Newport News, VA to go to my bestest friend Emmie's house for her annual biker party. This is always a great one. It's nice to see all those you haven't seen since riding season ended and start the year off with an easy ride.

May 5-9: I think Ed and I are going to the Adirondacks to hike Mt. Marcy, the highest point in NY. I'm a little nervous, but I guess I'll go on and hike it. It can't be worse than Harney Peak in SD. Well, it could be, but I made it through that one, so...

May 28: Rolling Thunder in DC. I'll head down from Rockville with the escorted ride, but we're not riding in the parade/demonstration this year. The wait is WAY too long, and last year, the ride wasn't very organized.

June 3-4: Ride Across Maryland. Remember last year when I took that picture of my feet with my Crocs on? So cute..Also, I think we're camping on Assateague Island again. YAY!!!

Juen 22-25: Harley Rendezvous. This is the party with all the naked people. I can't wait!! hee hee.

July 7-15: I really want to take off the entire week after the 4th, and go to Rhode Island. A friend from one of the websites I visit is having a party there, and then the Motor Maids have their annual convention in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I figure, why not make a trip of it? I've never ridden in RI, so it would be good to get a new state on my list this year, since I don't plan on going too far from home.

That's the beginning of summer. I do want to go on a non-riding vacation, but I'm not sure what, where, or with whom, so that's TBD. It would be nice to have some girlfriends to go on vacation with. I think I might just go somewhere by myself. I need to be by myself.
