The Weekend's Here!

Finally. Well, actually training was fun, so I wasn't really rushing the week. I would rather be at training than at work with everything going down, but still. I stopped by the office this morning to see YB and Spacebrain. YB told me that they were having a department meeting at 8:30. Um...how can you have a department meeting when I am out for training? Maybe they're trying to oust me because I applied for a position in a different department and YB wasn't supposed to tell me. HA!!HA!! That would be kind of funny. Anyway, I'm going to hate going to work on Monday.

I went to the running store today to pick up my number, ankle chip and tshirt for the Shamrock Run on Sunday. When I got about 3 blocks from my house, one of the indicator lights came on in the car. Its a malfunction light of some sort. I forget the exact wording of the indicator, but it says 'you may be out of gas' 'your gas cap is off or not screwed in properly' or 'go see your Toyota dealer as soon as possible.' Since I have gas, and the light came on after driving an hour, I'm assuming the gas cap is on properly (yes I checked it), so that means I have to take it to the shop. I'm so nervous about taking my car to the shop. I will take it on Monday, and my only savings grace right now is that it's warm and I can ride my bike to work next week if need be. I did go for a quick spin around the neighborhood this afternoon. WV here I come!

Monday night I think I had a small nervous breakdown. I wanted to go out to eat, but I didn't have anybody to go with, and I wanted to go with someone. Sometimes I wish I did have a few friends that lived nearby, but I don't. Well, that's partially a lie. Ed will go with me, but he doesn't like to go into Baltimore city because of parking, and whatever other reasons he has. He's kind of a downer to new places. So..I'm watching JJ and sitting downstairs. He's sitting upstairs reading his book. He called down and asked what I wanted to do for dinner. I told him I just needed to go out, and I would be back later. He told me that he was going home to order some food if I was going out. I think he got mad because I didn't say where I was going or who I was going with.

I ended up going to dinner with Ryan and his roommate. It was like a breath of fresh air. The only person getting mad was me because Ryan decided to get his haircut after he said he would come along for dinner. Well, the roommate and I went first and Ryan met us there afterwards. Fine. That's not a big deal. We talked about houses and other random stuff, and had a really good dinner. The restaurant that we went to has any appetizer (crab bisque with a puff pastry top), salad (caesar), and entree (filet with smashed potatoes, green beans, squash) for 20 bucks. We each had a couple beers and I couldn't finish my entree, so I ended up taking it home with me. They wanted to go back and watch a movie, but I had to have a teleconference with my sisters so I left. It was so nice just relaxing and hanging out. I really need to find some friends around here that I can hang out with. There is no way I'm telling Ed that I'm going out with boys. Why am I obsessed with hanging out with boys? They're just fun.

Now it's Friday night, and I would really love to drive. Unfortunately, that light is freaking me out, so I'll stay in and watch a movie. Have a great weekend everyone.
