March for the Animals
I don't know why I didn't take my camera. This year, the bandannas for the dogs were bright yellow. Every year there is a different color, and it's so cool finding out what color the bandanna will be. I wish my bird was here. She does look gorgeous in yellow.
After church (I've been going to church since the end of Feb. Love it!), I drove down to the park to drop off my money for the Maryland SPCA. There were dogs everywhere, and most of them had on their yellow bandannas. I saw a ton of beagles this year. Maybe it's the year of the beagle. There was one puppy that I stopped and petted that was some kind of lab mix. It was laying down in the grass and hadn't even begun to actually march. I don't know how he's going to do if he couldn't make it from the parking lot to the registration booth. His name was Maxwell. I also stopped and talked to two Westie owners. Their dogs were so excited.
I also saw my favorite dog, a black and white Great Dane. I love how those dogs are so big. I think at the end of this year, I'll get another dog. I was happy to be at the march, but I was sad that I was there all by myself. Even though Jemma was never very friendly (just like her mom), at least she got to hang out with the other dogs who were friendly. Right now, I really miss her. Did I mention how she looks gorgeous in yellow? I think I'll wear that bandanna to the gym in the morning. *sigh*
