Bob Dylan and Me=Oil and Water

Last night I was home watching whatever tv was on, and I decided to give Ryan a call to see what he was doing. The other day he told me that his brother was in town and he might go watch the O's. Well, it was 8, and the O's were winning. I called and he said he was hanging out at his parent's house for the evening. He invited me over.

So I got in my car and drove 45 minutes to his parent's house. They live in the woods and up a mountain and it was dark. I was thinking that I was a complete idiot for traipsing all that way to meet Ryan's brother (my cowboy boyfriend who lives in Wyoming), but I finally made it.

What a fun time. The parents were hanging out along with Ryan's two brothers and two of his friends, and the parents had a neighbor over too. I laughed and laughed. His mormon friend asked me if I was interested in being his second wife. I'd even get my own house. I told him I'd think about it. HA!

Then, the dad asks me if I was going to see Bob Dylan with the rest of them tomorrow (which is really today). I said "No. I'm not going to be able to make it." He asked why and I said shyly, 'Well, I wasn't invited.' Everyone started yelling at Ryan asking him why he didn't invite me to the concert. I told them that it wasn't a big deal, and I only know like two Bob Dylan songs, so I'm ok. They were all mad at him and Ryan said 'Well, you can still go if you want. We have tickets.' I didn't want to be an afterthought, so I passed. I think initially he invited the crazy girl that he liked, but she bailed.

We all watched the USA/Puerto Rico basketball game into the wee hours of the night, and I stayed on the parent's couch until 6am. I think I slept for 2 hours. I always leave really early when I'm not sleeping in my own bed. I feel weird waking up and still wearing my same clothes in front of others and trying to act normal and stuff.

Now I'm home again wishing I had gone to the concert. Maybe I'll watch a movie.
