The Latest and Greatest
Sometimes a hug or some sort of physical contact is all you need to feel better.
I went to Ryan's house on Wednesday for movie night, and I actually stayed awake for 2 movies. I think it's a world record for me. "Belly" was the first movie and it was not good at all. Nas, DMX and Method Man were in it, and I hate to say this, but I can't understand ghetto black people. Sorry. I just couldn't figure out what everyone was talking about. So..since it was a bad movie, of course I stayed awake. Then we watched 'A Shock to the System.' That movie is great! It was funny and interesting. After the movies, I told Ryan and his roommates that I had to go home because I was coughing and feeling bad. Ryan hugged me and said he'd talk to me later. So nice...*sigh*
I didn't go to work Wednesday, went in late today because I thought I had to stay late, but my study was cancelled. So..I got to come home after 4 hours of work. YAY!! hee hee. Oh, and I overslept for my study on Tuesday night after the play. Oops.
I'm feeling about 85%. I can smell and taste again, so I'm almost home free. Hopefully by the weekend I'll be there.
My college friend Kathy had twin girls on Wednesday afternoon. I don't know when she was supposed to have her babies, but her babies were 3 lb 8 oz, and 3 lb 14 oz. Such tiny humans. I can't even imagine what they look like. As of now, they are all fine, so that's good news.
I taught the review class on Wednesday for my tutoring (we review for the first half of the class). The students LOVED me. Even Josh stayed awake for the review, and he is usually sleeping the whole time. Maybe it was because I was calling on them to answer questions, so they couldn't sleep. There is one boy, the one that looks really young, that doesn't pay attention at all. The only thing he mastered was that 3/3 =1. I told him to tell his friends that night that "anything over itself is equal to 1." That was his take home lesson. I hope he at least learned that. One lady Brenda told me that the whole class was excited. I think I'll be doing the review every Wednesday. My teacher asked me if I wanted to teach the class for real because another teacher quit. Unfortunately, the class is on the other side of Bmore, and I don't want to HAVE to make the drive. I like the class I have now.
