Christmas Shopping
I read that if you go shopping before December 09, you won't have to wait in lines and be bombarded with holiday cheer. So far so good. I left work today and went to Sears. I picked up a Cuisinart food processor for my mom. Then I went to REI, and I got some Mary Jane Crocs for my mom. She says she wants Crocs, but she won't go buy them. I hope they fit her. They only have whole sizes, and I know an 8 will be too big. They're black, and she can wear them around the house or running around and not look too homeless. HA! My mom likes to shop in the finest of stores looking homeless. It works for her. Only the nicest of workers assist the homeless thinking they can't afford anything in the store. I take after her in this respect.
I then moved around the store and got some long johns for my younger sister, and a Timbuktu tote bag for my older sister. I also picked up a Lonely Planet 'Best of 2007-Travel Guide.' My older sister travels the world and this might help her pick her next destination. I hope she loves it. I'm getting my dad some food (my mom is sick of looking at gifts still wrapped from 1975 in his drawers), and my brother hasn't sent me his list yet.
The big debate-what to get Ryan. He sent me his wish list today consisting of the new Mercedes SLK55. What a tool. I told him it won't fit down the chimney so try again. Maybe I'll get him a 5 pack of Kodiak and call it a day. HA!!HA!! I'm definitely in the Christmas spirit. 2 gifts down, 3.5 to go. Younger sister will get one more thing, and that's why I have 1/2 gift. I also have some smaller gifts to buy for others, but I didn't count those.
