You Try To Do Something Nice

I just got back from exchanging tickets for one of my shows coming up next week. I'm going to have to work second shift, so I wasn't able to attend the show on my scheduled night. In the meantime, they cancelled the show for this week, so everyone that had tickets for this week is scrambling to find seats for next week.

So, I go to the box office, and tell the lady my predicament, and she says that if I only want to exchange one ticket I can get better seats. That's fine because I don't have anyone to go with anymore, so it's not a big deal. After I get a worst seat (2 rows back) than the one I had, I tell her that she can cancel the other seat that I have for that show so that another couple from this week can sit together. She tells me that it's not possible and I can either try to find two seats together for myself on another night or give my ticket away. I didn't want to do either, so I ended up leaving with my 1 worst seat. I thought I was being helpful, only to have the rude lady tell me that there's nothing she can do about it. I'm pretty sure there's cancel seat button, but I've never worked for 5 bucks an hour dealing with snooty season ticket holders so I have no idea.

That lady sure wasn't in the Thanksgiving spirit.
