Self-Centered? No Way

Today, I was surfing the blog community, as we all like to do and I started laughing at everyone's blogs. You may not find it as funny as I do, but it was just something that interested me.Here's my blanket disclaimer that no feelings are meant to be hurt, just making a simple observation. Here goes:

Some of you guys are so creative, and just so cute with all the names you think of for my blog.

First, let's start with something simple. It doesn't get as simple as Adam, Veronica or Ropemonkey. They don't give a crap about having anyone's names on their blogs. They just want to write down their feelings or stories, and link to their own friends without anyone knowing that they have any. That's great. I'm a little jealous, but I have links on mine for ease of surfing throughout the day. There's no way I could ever remember everybody's site address, so that's why I choose to have my list off to the right. Oops Adam, I just realized I dont have your name linked, but wait until I get to work in the morning. You're in trouble.

Second-the copycat. There are two people out there that have chosen to call my site by the same name. The winners are (envelope please) -Beergirl and Ian. They both chose to call this place 'Peachy's world'. Yes, it is my world, and I'm excited that you guys realized that. We also have another set of copycats, but it's cool. I still love yous guys (that's baltimorese, right there). The next envelope please....the award goes to Quyen and Mel Mega. They both decided to title my corner of the world 'Peachy-keen.' Also unique and very appropriate. I have a pretty good outlook on life, although if people ask me how I'm doing, I never say Peachy keen. It's just too corny for me to say it myself.

Yankeebob came very close to being in this group, but he was off by one word. He titled his 'Peachy-It's her world.' Nina, was also a runner up in the copycat category because she titled hers 'Peachy-She's In Her Own World.' Now Nina, is this an insult? Should I be offended? Ok..I'm not. I am in my own world and I love that you noticed. I'm a pretty random person. It does take me a few chances to make sure my stories are concise and everything happens in order, but every now and again, I'm so excited typing about my day that everything gets jumbled.

Next we have Emmie (this is my moto. friend Emmie. I know there is someone out there that goes by Em, but I don't know you to talk about you just yet). Emmie is just a state the facts kind of girl. She simply wrote 'peachy'. Well done, Miss Emmie. No one has any doubt in their mind when they look on your blog, as to where they are headed next.

Now, to the more interesting names. Grace linked my blog to hers by writing 'Peaches 'n Cream'. Now that sounds delicious! I would think that perhaps it is the Quaker oatmeal site, but then again, when someone clicks it, they will soon find out that they are very mistaken. Peaches and cream is cute, and it's the color I wanted my motorcycle to be. My bike didn't really turn out to be as peach as I would've liked, but no harm, no foul. One can never go wrong with Peaches and cream. Golf clap for Grace.

Next up, creativity award..LAH, with 'Peachy-riffic'. Outstanding choice for a link. It's like Peachy and terrific combined. Who wouldn't want to come visit? I do like this one, and perhaps it's my favorite (although I like all of you guys the same, honestly). It also reminds me of Tony the Tiger, saying They're Grrrreeaat! It's along the same lines. Hands down, LAH wins this award.

The one link that really made me smile today when I visited was Egghe's blog. He is a newcomer to the scene. He didn't think that he would be so into blogging, but so far he's posted something almost every day. I will have to add him so that maybe he will feel just as special as I did this morning. Stop the crying and get to what he called your site already! He wrote 'peachy's place.' To me, Peachy's place sounds so warm and inviting. I just want to put on my sweatpants and eat ice cream. That is a must have when visiting Peachy's place. So, before you come here from now on, you have to put on your sweats, and chill out.

Whoa..this is long. I have only been on the blogspot since September, but I am really fortunate to have you guys writing down your life stories, and little things that go on in your lives. The internet at work gets so old sometimes, but with blogging buddies, you always have something to do, and something to read. Besides, it looks like you're doing work. So...everyone, keep up the good work, and I'll see you tomorrow. PS. I like plain things, and I'm not very creative, so that's why I simply put your names. I'll gladly accept the snooze award. Oops. I forgot. There are the two people that I have linked, but don't even care about me enough to link me, but they link others. Is that the ultimate slap in the face, or what? HA!!HA!! Just kidding ladies. Smashlee and CindyLou do not care to link me because they find me pathetic and loser-esque. I'm ok with that because I will still sneak and read their blogs whethere they like it or not!
