So Far Behind
I think I have a lot of blog reading to do, and a lot of posting.
My weekend went well. Ed and I talked on Thursday night, and things are better. What a big fight. I don't know if I've ever been in a fight like that before. Ed said he was the saddest he had been in 10 years the week we didn't talk. That secretly made me happy, but I'm a rock. He told me that he was going to pick up the stuff he is storing in my house until his gets finished (he's remodeling). I told him OK. He said 'I'll take 40 dollars for the table downstairs by the couches.' I said 'I don't want the table, take it.' I'm so mean. I also told him that I'd pay him for my half of the theater tickets. He said "I don't want them, so you can pay for the whole set." That bothered me because if he doesn't want to go to the theater, why is he going? I am more than happy to go by myself, even though it seems he likes going. I don't know what that was all about. I guess it's that whole 'present yourself as a couple idea he loves.' I still like going, so I don't really care if that's why he goes.
So, now that things are better, his stuff is still at my house. He told me that he went to the bar Friday night and rode his motorcycle. He's an idiot, and I just ignored him when he told me that. If he wants to drink and ride, that's all him. I will have no part in that.
Saturday we rode to Denver, PA (north of Lancaster). It rained the last 15 miles to his brother's house and we had horrible directions. But we got there, ate, dried out and had a nice ride back home. I have a story about his brother/sister, but I'll talk about that later.
Sunday we went to DC for Rolling Thunder. We met at the Rockville HD and supposedly there were between 1500-2000 bikes there for an escorted ride to the Pentagon. The procession was amazing. A little slow, but it was a nice ride. We got to the Pentagon parking lot around 10:30, and didn't actually get to ride in the parade/demonstration until 2:45. It was a long day, but there were plenty of people to talk to and friends (he he, you know my weird internet friends) to catch up with.
The WWII memorial is really nice. I took some pictures, but i didn't get a chance to put them on photobucket yet. I'll do that tonight and you can check them out.
Yesterday, we just hung around the house. Nothing spectacular. It was a good day of rest. Too bad I don't have more days like that.
