5 Questions
After everyone else did this I felt bad that I didn't participate, so Funkybee gave me another chance. YAY!! Here are my questions and answers:
1. Being the self proclaimed minimalist that you are, what would you do if someone gave you $1 Mill?
I talked about this with my coworkers, but I forget my answers. I think I'd buy YB a few hours with Derek Jeter. For interview stuff, not anything nasty. hee hee. I think that's his favorite (am I right YB?). I'd also have to just sit there and watch them interact. For myself, I would probably invest most of it, and perhaps buy a 65 or 66 Mustang. They aren't that expensive, and I'd look great in one of those. Oh, I'd also buy a pair of small diamond studs with the safety backing. I want those earrings. I'd also work for a year in construction but only to name streets in developments. No real manual labor. I think I can buy myself into that job. hee hee.
2. If you had the chance to move out of MD where would you go and why? If you choose not to move, why not?
Oh...I think about this all the time. After heading west, I'd love to lead the life of a country girl, but it's hard work. I think I'd have to move to the Carolinas. Not too country, but good weather and great riding in the mountains and/or the beach.
3. What was the highlight of the Sturgis trip?
Where do I begin? I have to start somewhere, so I guess the highlight would be when I almost ran out of gas in Amidon, ND, and I had to pump gas under a shade tree with one of the analog gas pumps. You guys are so young, I don't know if you remember those. Anyway, we ended up eating dinner there, and camping across the street from the restaurant. We met 6/30 people that live there in the bar, and 2 of them took us on a 4 hour tour of the ND badlands and we picked and ate fresh wheat and choke cherries. That is something I will never forget. What a great town. The sheriff seriously asked if we could buy a quarter or half cow from the grocery store. I said 'no, we buy a pound of ground beef for 2 bucks, make spaghetti and call it a day.' HA!!HA!!
4. If you could have any job in the world, what would it be and why?
Well, I already mentioned this in question #1, but I would love to make up street names in developments (Dalmatian Lane, Lily of the Valley Court). My second choice would be to work as an NFL referee next to Ed Hoculie. mmm..mmm.
5. What is your most embarrasing moment?
Do I have to tell? I don't have too many, but here's a good one. In 7th, 8th and 9th grade I LOVED a boy named Keith Prichard. It's so funny because he was skinny and blonde haired with brown eyes. He was hilarious, but kind of smart alecky too. I liked him because he didn't like me. Anyway...I wrote him a letter one summer and I don't even know what I said but it was probably just simple and nice, I think. Perhaps I professed my like for him, or something...I don't remember. We started school the next year, and I was at a football game. Our whole crew was hanging out and one kid said something to me about liking Keith. I was like 'yeah, he's nice enough.' Then the boy said 'I know you must really like him because I read your letter.' I about died. I got hot, and so embarrassed. I didn't know what to say. I don't remember much of what happened, but I'm sure I played it cool and was just like 'oh.' HA!!HA!! I'm such a loser. Keith ended up moving to TX after 9th grade, and I moved from WA to MD, so that was that. 3 years of my life, down the drain!!!!!!!!!! Really, it was just something to do. I did write I *heart* Keith on my futon cover and I still have it.
If anyone hasn't done this and wants me to send them questions, let me know. Also, put your email addy, so I can email them to you and give you time to think about it.
Thanks Funkybee. I loved answering them.
