The Wedding Was Great!

The rehearsal dinner on Friday was excellent. We went to a place in Canton Square called Coburns. I had been there once before for dinner so I already knew the food would be fantastic. When I got there, they had steamed shrimp, tuna kabobs, and a cheese platter laid out on the bar. I ordered my Tom Collins, and was hanging out with the boys (as usual). When it was time to sit down, I ordered MD Crab soup, the crabcake platter and nothing for dessert. The choices were brownie sundae or bread pudding (blech! to both). The food was so good.

By 10 o'clock Ed's dad was completely wasted. He was drinking scotch-straight. Ed and I had to carry him back to Ed's van. We each had one arm of his, and we were practically dragging him. He's about 5'3, so he looked like a peanut in between our arms. I know everyone on the square that saw us were like 'That man is SO drunk.' We got Ed's dad to his apartment, put him in the recliner, took off his shoes, and went back to Eric's house to hang out on his last single night. We watched some Pride fights, and just talked. It was a good time.

Saturday, the wedding started at 5. I didn't leave my house until 4:30, and I couldn't find any stocking to wear so I had to go without. I hate not wearing stockings. I didn't get to paint my toes, but I did paint my nails and put some lipgloss on, so I was presentable. I forgot my camera, so I have absoutely no pictures. I think I looked good, and I should have remembered the camera, but I did not. If someone emails me a picture, I'll pass it on. My dress was a hit. :) Did I tell you about it? Well, it is light pink, with a crepe scoop neckline. There is a pink crepe scarf that goes around your neck, and the rest of the dress is silky under the crepe part. I'm so bad at describing stuff. It's long, and it flows a little. I wore my gold, Barbie, stripper shoes with the heel. So cute. I got my hair done and it is straight. My bangs are pushed to the side, and I look like a lady from the sixties. It's kind of in a long bob. I wore my glasses, so I really looked like a 60s June Cleaver or something. hee hee.

The wedding was short and sweet. It lasted about 1/2 hour. The reception was at the Engineer's Club in downtown Bmore and it is such a nice place. It's old, and there are wooden carvings in the walls, on the mouldings, etc.. So fancy. Eric and Heather had a live band and when they were introduced, the band played the Monday Night Football theme. I was waiting for Tim McGraw to come out halfway through the reception, but he never did. ha ha. Everyone was spinning their napkins in the air. It was pretty funny. The band was great, the food was great (surf and tuf with asparagus and fried tomato), and at the end they had a chocolate bar. You could go to the bar and get a bag with Eric and Heather's name on it, and put whatever candy you wanted inside. The m*m's were monogrammed. Everything was monogrammed. It was a really nice wedding and reception. I'm glad I went. After the wedding several people went to a local bar. It was ok. I was drunk, so I had to drink sprite at the bar, but that was fine by me. I met some people that graduated from U of DE the same year I did, but I didn't know them. That was pretty cool.

Sunday, I had to be ready to get picked up at 7a in order to go to VA to meet up with some of the Motor Maids (my women's moto. group). I slept the whole ride down, and even now I still have a slight headache. I really should have eaten more yesterday, but I didn't. The Ravens beat the Steelers, and the Chiefs beat the Texans. I'm exhausted today, but the weekend sure was fun!
