Let's Go Maryland!

The Maryland "girdles" (girl turtles) won it all last night in the NCAA Women's Championship Basketball game. I was so excited for them. I was probably as excited watching them play Duke last night as I am when I'm watching The Amazing Race. The girls came back from a 13 point deficit to defeat the Blue Devils 78-75 in overtime(I sound like a sportswriter). This game was WAY more exciting than the men's semifinals and final games. A nailbiter, for sure.

The best part about this team is that they are all very young. I think the commentator said that their starting lineup consists of two freshman, two sophomores and a junior. How awesome is that?! Not that that means they will win again next year, but having the same people on a team for years and years can be promising. One girl from Duke came back to play in her 5th year just so she could win a title. That's unfortunate. It's too bad for that girl, but they just didn't keep up the tempo in the end of the first half and the second half.

Even though I stayed up a bit late watching the game, I made it to the gym, and was able to go swimming. YAY!! No one wanted to swim in my lane, which was cool because I can't really swim in a straight line. I try, but I'm usually hitting the walls with my hands and feet. hee hee. So, it's best that other people that can swim straight stick together.

I finally got my grandmother's deed copied and sent to the lawyer. YB walked with me to Staples to have that done. There was a black grandmother with blue hair. No kidding. It was blue like Smurfette blue. YB sneakily pointed and smiled at me when he saw her, and I almost started laughing out loud, but I didn't. I kept my composure. She was getting prints enlarged of her and I'm assuming her granddaughter. In the pictures, she also had blue hair. When we got back to work, we were telling another coworker about this lady, and she said that some relative of hers tried dying her hair, and there was a reaction, and her relative had lime green hair. She went to the hairdresser to try to fix it, but there was nothing they could do. I guess that's what happened with this lady. If it's an accident, I love how she has now memorialized this time in her life, by enlarging these pictures. She'll never forget about the time she had blue hair, and neither will the granddaughter. :)

That's funny! I don't color my hair now, but I once lightened it just for the fun of it. When I wanted to go back to my natural, I chose a "soft" black.

Well, it was TOO black. My hair is dark brown. What did I know. I'd never done that sort of thing before. I ended up walking around with this JET BLACK goth-looking hair color.

T-Where have you been???
I think I deleted you from my sidebar. I'm going there now to see if there's an update.

Freebird-That's scary. I never dyed my hair, so i don't have any stories to share. Live and learn, right?

Blue hair - sort of the Marge Simpson look huh? I have never died my hair so thankfully this has not happened to me.

I thought it would be cool to go black once and ended up with green hair. That was a good game! Their college band was suppose to play at our confrence but couldn't because of the game.
