Just Call Me Yoj, Betty, or Berk

I feel like Yoj (yes, when I talk about her, I still call her that) posting a million times in one day, but it's cool.

I just checked the stock market, and I think I'm doing pretty well. Right before I got canned, I decided to play my hand at the stock market. I bought Mastercard when it first opened. I think I paid like 45 bucks for each share, and I bought 5 shares (I was running out of money). I bought UnderArmour (the athletic clothing company started in Baltimore). I think I spent 1000 bucks on it at around 35 dollars. I bought ExxonMobil. I know, I'm the devil, but I figured it has to go up. I bought 1000 or 2000 dollars worth and it was around 60 dollars a share, and I bought a total longshot, AES. I'm not even sure what AES stands for, it's just some energy company that is underlying Baltimore, Gas, and Electric and some other big energy companies. I think that was at 15 or 16 bucks a share. I think I bought 1000 shares of that too. For those that aren't into money stuff, sorry to bore you. The good news is that all of those stocks have gone up since May, and I'm so psyched.

I'm reading a book called 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult. It's about a sister that was born only so that she could be a donor of white blood cells, bone marrow, etc.. for the purposes of giving it to her older sister who has leukemia. The younger sister has decided to sue her parents for rights to her body. I haven't gotten very far into it, but it's great so far. Each person has a chapter, and it's written in a different font, so you can read everyone's perspective on the issue.

I made copies of my personnel file, and I'm ready for court tomorrow afternoon. It would be so nice to get a lump sum of my back unemployment. It will be like a signing bonus for me. I hope I win, but I'm not getting too excited just yet.

I called the people at church about the banquet and I will not be attending. I owe the lady that made the corsage 2 bucks, and I can deal with that.

I bought one taco at Taco Bell today. I think I could eat tacos every day if I had to. I also stopped by the car dealership and scheduled an appt. for next Tuesday. I felt really comfortable talking to the lesbian service advisor. She's a woman, and she knows about cars. I think it's a win-win. Hopefully she won't screw me over. Maybe I should put a rainbow flag in my windshield or something when I drop off my car. HA!!HA!! I kill me.
