Exhausting Weekend

I went to NYC for the day yesterday with my parents and my dad's high school alumni chapter. About 40 of us took a bus trip. How fun. The weather was about 70 and cloudy. Perfect. NY is a great city. LE, I thought about you. You have to get there. I love people watching and in NY there are all sorts of people wearing all sorts of clothes. No matter what you wear in the city, you're dressed fine. :)

I actually found some knee length boots that fit my skinny legs. Score. We met up with my sister, and shopped 'til we dropped. We stopped in Tiffany's to get some of my mom's favorite perfume. I actually looked at my favorite engagement ring in the whole world up close and personal. It's in the Etoile collection. It's awesome. I told my dad that I needed to find someone who could afford it for me. He said 'You need a good man.' I said 'No, I just need someone to afford the ring. ha ha.' He wasn't amused. My mom was sad when she found out that they didn't make her perfume anymore, but she found another kind in Saks that she liked. The Sak's perfume area is a nuthouse. They had a million different scents on one floor. It was insane and my nose was really tickling. I guess I am sensitive to perfumes. If they're too strong, I don't like them. I like the flowery, citrus smells. Just clean and fresh. I bought some stuff for the house.

We also stopped in Cartier. My mom wanted to look at some yellow diamonds. We found 6, but they were really big, and the salesman was working with someone else, so we didn't get to price them. We did get to see a 2 million dollar diamond ring. Talk about gaudy. It was just one big rock, but you could see every color of the rainbow in it. I told my family to guess the price. They were guessing in the 200,000 dollar range. My mom guessed a million. If you've never been to Cartier, that's another stop on your list of must do activities.

I got home at midnight, and now I'm turning around to go back to northern New Jersey for my friend's baby shower. She had twins on Wednesday, so this is more of a birthday party. She had an emergency c-section, so I don't even know if she'll be there, but I'll drop off my gifts, turn around and get home for football. It's going to be a long day.
