Ranganayaki

HELLO!?!

I noticed that my phone bill went up by a couple bucks. You know how I am with my money. So I tracked my bills, and it went up in November. I called customer service and they said that they sent me an e-mail saying that I had to renew or the price would go up. I thought when I signed up, I had the price for life. Apparently not. Anyway, I told the woman that I don't use my verizon email account. She said 'Sorry. You should check it.' I didn't know my username or password. I called technical support and I spoke to a woman with the name above. Fine. She can hardly speak English, but I'll be nice.

She hooked me up with a new email and password. LO AND BEHOLD there was no e-mail stating that there was going to be a price increase. I'm telling you, no one is fair anymore. She wrote up a ticket for me and spend 1/2 hour talking to me and the people at customer service/billing/whoever.

After an hour, they gave me a credit for two months, and then I have to pay the regular rate. I don't know about people with automatic billing, but that's even one more complication to deal with especially if money is just coming out of your bank account and you don't even bother checking the bill. I'm so glad I have regular mail and then pay it online. *sigh*

What a hassle. I didn't want to cancel because I'm happy with my dsl, but watch. If my account goes up again without a notice, I swear, I'll be checking emails and stuff from work and I'll go back to dial up.
