Slackers
Today is a horrible day. It's cold, it's only Tuesday and it just absolutely sucks. For one, I'm flat broke. I have had 0 dollars and 0 cents in my bank account since last Saturday. I tried to buy a coffee at 7-11, and my card was declined. I told the man that maybe I pressed debit instead of credit and that's why my card wasn't working. Of course, I was half asleep and still in my nightclothes, so I just paid with my coins. I save all my coins, and when I have to pay with the few stragglers in my wallet, I get a little sad. Of course, all my coins are hidden around my house rolled up, but still. They are going to take me on an African safari one day, so don't laugh.
Back to the topic, I have a project that I received once the drug taker of my company got fired. She was such a bad worker, and it just so happened that my bosses were happy she failed the drug test because they didn't actually have to fire her. I can't understand why you are scared to fire someone if they don't do their job. If they did their job, you wouldn't have to worry about it, and life would be all roses. OK..I'm getting off topic again. So, I have her project and now it's time for the report I wrote to get reviewed and signed off for approval. Well, one reviewer (the final reviewer) has all sorts of questions for me about this study. Why did you do this? How many items were tested? How many are supposed to be tested, etc..? I told the lady that I didn't do the project and I was just summarizing it for the girl that left. I told her I would feel much better about it, if we just redid it and I would know how many items I used, why I did what I did etc.. She said 'there's no time. The client needs this report.' Well, what do you want me to do lady? I can either turn in something that I'm satisfied with as far as summarizing the slacker's work, or I can just sit it on my desk and wait for you to say you need it and you'll sign off on it. Now, don't forget this paper has been sitting on the reviewer's boss' desk for 3 months. Not one, not two, but 3 fricking months. If it was such a rush, what was he doing with it sitting on his desk? I wrote to him once a week asking where it was, and when he was going to sign it. I have problems with my tone when I talk to people, so I try to just email everyone so they don't have to see my face or hear me getting pissed off at them. No response. So now, I'm just kind of stuck and I don't know what to do. I will leave this report on my desk until she's ready to sign and just pretend like I'm working on it. I wish that lady had gotten fired before they gave her any assignments. It sucks for those that are still around making up lies about her work.

Seriously. Ew on everyone who works with you. Why is everyone else always so incompetent? I agree with you that people should just be honest with everyone and fire people. I mean, geez, that's what HR is for, right?
