24-The Series
I have heard so much about this show that I just had to get Season 1 on Netflix. It's official. I am addicted to it. I keep putting movies in line ahead of the next series disk in order to give my eyes a break. If I have the series disk, I totally want to watch all 4 hours straight, no matter what time it is. Not having commercials is awesome too. I hope the next couple seasons are as good as the first one, because I'm hooked big time!
Friday, I went to see Dr. Strangelove at the Hippodrome. Ed and I sat in the really expensive, velvet seats. That was a lot of fun, but I didn't like the movie. It's directed by Stanley Kubrick (who is already a weirdo), and there were some funny parts, but I just wasn't into it. I think it's probably a cult film. People at the theater were reciting lines and stuff. hee hee. They had a Mr. Magoo cartoon as the preview, and that was pretty funny.

As for quoting lines:
"If you don't get the President of the United States on that phone, you're going to have to answer to the Coca Cola Company..."
Michael would have loved that. Dr. Strangelove is one of his all time favorite movies. I liked it the first few times, but he has played it a little too much for my taste. I like Kubrick, he's interesting.:)
Kubrick films are ones you have to be prepared for - they are not the type of movies you just wander into. I would have had fun.
The ONLY way to watch 24 is on DVD. That's what we do. I watched it last night & just got angry that the commercials were screwing up the flow & the drama. :)
Beergirl, I got it through Netflix. I can't imagine having to wait a week or 4 minutes for the next segment to come on!
I didn't know it was a Stanley Kubrick film. All I knew was the title. Honestly. I am the worst!
