Half Day for me. Woohoo!!
This concept hasn't gone over well at my company. Paperwork gets lost all the time, brain cells get lost, and I wish my coworkers would get lost. Is that too much to ask?
I keep good track of the documents that come into and leave my desk. I use the notes feature on Microsoft outlook and when something is routing, the note is yellow. Once something is completely signed off and put in document control, I change the note color to blue. Simple, but effective. I put the date I passed it to the next person, and who has it next, etc..
This morning I get a call from a guy in doc. control asking me to fill out the proper filing paperwork. Well, if I turned it in, I would've filled out the paperwork. Unfortunately, the big, big boss probably thought he was doing me a favor by taking it over himself instead of returning it to me. I sent him an email asking him to return MY documents to me. I said Doc. Control always loses things and I like to track the documents as they come and go. No response of course. I filled out the paperwork and went on my merry way.
Not one hour later, the little boss asks me for a document. I tell her that the big big boss has it and he's had it since Feb. 08. She tells me to go find it, so I head to the big guy's office and ask him where my document is. He says with a smile 'well, I probably took it over to document control.' I told him that it wasn't funny and that I track everything and if he takes things directly to document control he either needs to tell me about it or just return it to me. I told him to look again on his desk and if he finds it let me know. I don't have time to look for documents that I didn't lose. I'm done working for today, and I doubt anyone will ever find that document. People here suck.
When I was little my dad always said 'If you use something, put it back when you're done with it, so you can find it the next time.' Well, what great words to live by, and that's what I do. I get so frustrated when things aren't where they belong or people have misplaced things because they're idiots. One day maybe someone here will realize I'm always right. Then they wonder why I don't want to be friendly and nice to them? I'm not friendly and nice to people I can't stand. Sorry, it's just not my nature.

I hate stupid people. I just emailed my boss to tell her I had to go pick up my kid from school.
The subject line read: Be right back!
She emails me and asks, "You are coming back right? I already have too many people out today."
DUH! I told you I was! I'm so glad I only have to deal with people through email!
Why don't people think about anyone but themselves? Stupid people. Enjoy your half day!!
I'm still sitting here, but I've been surfing the 'net and playing this game called 'The Queen's Jewels.' It's a matching game and I found it somehow through Lifetime.com. I think I did a search on games or something.
One more hour until my weekend. Woohoo!!
I just ignore the dopes. E-mail is a great communication tool.
Don't let Peachy fool you. She is the hardest working person here. I get tired just trying to chase her down to help me waste a few minutes. Darn girl is quick!
When we were kids it used to piss my dad off so bad when we didn't put things back where we got them! Kinda scary at the time but oh so funny now. I love being able to attribute certain tendencies to lessons from my dad.
