I NEED a Personal Shopper

I'm a spoiled brat. I hate cleaning my house, I hate cutting the grass, I hate going to the grocery store. Maybe I'm not a brat, I'm just too lazy to do things that I can pay someone to do. I think that's more like it. My time is valuable (ha ha ha).

I have been planning to go shopping since the 22nd of January. I was going to spend the day shopping and find some clothes that will last me another 5-10 years if I'm lucky. Well, it snowed that day, and I didn't even leave my house. I thought that maybe I would go this past weekend, but I was out running errands with Ed and the only shopping I did was exchanged some pants that my mom bought me, had my ring sized and I bought 3 bottles of wine.

Now, I'm thinking that I will go to Macy's and make an appointment with a personal shopper. Maybe she (he?) will tell me what would look nice, and actually find some clothes that fit me. My clothes are really getting tight and worn and they aren't the most appealing things to wear to work or play. I need many different outfits. I need a few nice things to wear to the theatre. I have a couple night weddings coming up, so maybe I can look for something pretty. I need new jeans that I can wear to the bars and look cute, or just go running errands and not look like I'm 50 with 5 kids wearing me down. What else do I need? I could use a couple work outfits. We get to dress casually, but I'm probably the most casual in the bunch, so I think I would like to neaten up just a bit (or at least have that option on some days). I would like some winter dress shoes. Maybe something with a heel. I love that boots are still in, but I can never find any that fit me. I've given up that dream. I think a personal shopper would have a field day with me because I'm so stuck in a time warp.

I'm going to call when I leave work and try to set up an appointment for this weekend. If not, I can go next weekend (just in time for Valentines). That would work out well, but hopefully this weekend would be better. Our next show is on Feb. 8th and that's The King and I. I don't even know the story, so I'm excited to see it. It would be nice to have something different to wear besides my same pants and a birghtly colored sweater.

I'll let you know how it goes if I can get through and make an appointment.

I'd shop for you but I probably wouldn't get past Victoria's Secret. ;)

Egghe, my goal for the 22nd was to buy three things from three stores. That's a lot for me. I usually go into one store and get frustrated, so I have to buy some food and leave. :)

I think I have a bit of shopping anxiety. I'm an odd bird.
