Change Your Toothbrush!

It's been three months everyone. Time to change your toothbrush. I meant to post this yesterday, but I was actually busy at work. I know, the horror. So, I'm a day late in my public service announcement.

I am a fanatic about changing my toothbrush every three months. If I see toothbrushes on sale, I always buy them because that's something you will always need. Same as lightbulbs, floss, toilet paper, soap, etc... right now, I probably have about 10 toothbrushes in my closet and probably 5 tubes of toothpaste. It's funny when I think about it, because I do live alone and no one else is using that stuff. I just like to be prepared, I guess.

Oh, and I don't buy just any kind of toothbrush. I buy the Colgate Complete, if that's possible. It is a long toothbrush with a clear and colored handle. I usually get blue, purple or green. Another tip is to get the soft bristles. I know, the soft bristles don't feel like they're doing anything but they are. If you brush your teeth often, there is not a lot of plaque and food stuck on your teeth so soft will be fine. If you use the medium and hard bristles, you may be brushing away the enamel on your teeth or even hurting your gums and that's not good. If there's no enamel, you will get stains and spots. So stick with the soft bristles. Your teeth will love you for it.

If anyone has any other dental questions, feel free to ask. My sister is a dentist, so I can just ask her if the questions are too difficult. CHANGE YOUR TOOTHBRUSH TODAY. Don't forget. I'll remind you again on June 01.

Oops! I screwed up. I changed mine last week. Do I get punished?

I use the Colgate one too. And I like the soft bristles because the medium and hard ones hurt. No thanks.

Thanks for the update Dr. Peachy.

I should have listened to my inner voice yesterday when I thought about buying a new one, but just walked by it. Funny you post about this today.

You guys are too funny.

Ropemonkey-I'm not going to make an announcement about the breast exam because it's too frequent and I'll forget. I will say it's fun to have a buddy. :)
I've never had an electric toothbrush.

Free and LAH-don't go out of your way, just make a mental note for the next time you're in the store.

Nah Ropemonkey, I take care of the breast exam announcements. I also am a full service 'buddy', as Peachy calls it. Usually that part just gets me slapped though. ;)

I have a Sonicare toothbrush and it comes with a little sticker that you put on it to remind you when to get a new toothbrush head for it. Sadly, I think the Sonicare crapped out while I was away for the weekend and I need to buy a new one after seven years.
