Birthday Plans-Advice Needed

How much in advance does your boyfriend/husband or girlfriend/wife let you know that they have something planned for your birthday? My big day is 8 days away, and I haven't heard a word about it. I don't want to bring it up because I don't know what I want to do, and I don't really care. I DO admit to wanting acknowledgement of my big day.

I'm thinking of going on and making some sort of plans so that I feel like I didn't stick around waiting for someone to make plans for me, but maybe I'm jumping the gun.

HELP!!!

Oh, and remember last year? I had a rage out birthday weekend without Ed because I thought I was single, and he gave me horrible gifts for my kitchen that Thursday, and I didn't see him until the following week.
