I'm Going Away Again

My sister called me on Wednesday afternoon and asked if I wanted to go to TN with her Thursday night. I don't have any plans, so I said sure. Of course, she wasn't ready to go last night, so we're leaving this afternoon around 3.

I called my grandpa to tell him that we'll be there early Saturday morning. He lives on the west side of the state, and it's a 14 hour drive. I asked him if he needed anything and he said 'No. I'm ok.' I volunteered to bring some steamed crabs. He said 'Oh, that would be great. I haven't had those in ages.' Then I laughed and said "Grandpa Freddie, they are going to stink up the car. There's no way we could transport them." I'm such a brat. Why volunteer and then say you can't do it. I hated myself for a split second. hee hee. But, he laughed and said they were fine.

So..I'm getting ready to go. I might see my bird dog down there, and I will freak out if I do, but I'll definitely be on the lookout as we're driving across the state.

I'll be home Tuesday sometime. I hope it's in the early evening, because I want to watch the fireworks. I hope everyone has a safe 4th.
