The Bachelorette Party
Not to be a stick in the mud, but tonight is finally the night. My friend is having her bachelorette party. I have been dreading this from day one. I'm not sure if it's because I have been getting a million and one emails about it, or I hate the places we're going, or if I just don't feel like being bothered. Perhaps it is a combination of the three. We're going downtown to the Power Plant. On any weekend night there are a minimum of 4 other girls there for their bachelorette party. You can spot them wearing a veil, a tshirt with candy attached and for 1 dollar a guy can eat a piece of candy off their shirt, or the bride to be is just wearing white and tons of girls are surrounding her. The drunken brides ALWAYS go out of their way to talk to the other drunken brides. 'When are you getting married?' 'Where is it?' 'Oh, congratulations. I'm so drunk, but I can't wait.' This is the drunken bride talk. Do they remember anything they discussed with the other brides? Of course not. It's just something you do. I thought we were going to another area of town, but it's always crowded, so we decided to go where it's always crowded but at least there is room to move around. Tonight the bride will be bringing her mom and her aunts out with us. Luckily the aunts are big drinkers so they will be paying for almost everything tonight. I plan to drink a few jello shots early and then just watch and take pictures. Tomorrow, the bridesmaids are going down to the beach. I'll probably get a little drunk down there since I don't have to worry about driving. I am trying to be happy about tonight and make the best of it. It might be fun...we'll see.
