I'm quiet today

I haven't had much to say lately. I've just been doing my work and trying to get through each day. Maybe I'll just kind of post about my random thoughts.

Last night I went to Starbucks for a Gingerbread Latte. If you haven't had one, try one. They are excellent. The warning label was written in French and English. I was surprised to see French because usually the warning label is in Spanish. I wonder why they chose French. It seemed weird to me, but my latte was just as good.

YB had some laffy taffy jokes on his blog today, which reminded me of my infamous laffy taffy story. In middle and high school I ran track. Oh, those were the days. Running around all afternoon and hanging out with friends. One day we had a track meet and someone brought some laffy taffys to the meet. I was sitting there obviously laughing and eating the taffy when my coach comes over and starts yelling 'What are you doing?' I said 'Eating laffy taffy.' 'Well, you just missed your race!!!!' 'oops'. I had to stop eating them for a while because of the scars I had from that day. Not to brag, but I usually won my events, and if you win, you get eitehr 4 or 5 points for the team. I just made our team lose 4 points because I was sitting eating taffy and not focusing on the meet. If I remember correctly, we still won the meet, but I was nervous the rest of the day until the scores were announced.

My coworker is doubting my knowledge. I'm 30, she's 24. Of course I'm smarter. *wink. I told her that breakfast is called breakfast because you are breaking the fast of not eating from say, 8pm to 7am. She is now asking everybody in the office why breakfast is called breakfast. Not everyone is as trivia wise as I am, but now she's mad because I'm right. hee hee.

I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and I asked a lady with kids where the toy section was. I have been in Wal-Mart honestly less than 10 times. I don't know the layout. I'm like a typical bachelor when it comes to shopping. I don't know where anything is, I have no problems asking and I probably look like a dork walking around with one or two things in my hand. Why get a cart if you only need a couple things? So the lady said to me in a rude town "I don't work here!" So then I said in my head 'yes, I noticed you weren't wearing a blue smock.', and aloud I said 'ok, but do you know where the toy section is?' I think she was annoyed, but she told me. Sheesh! I just want to get some games. Is that a crime to ask you where a section is without getting angry?

Boys stink. I think some of my coworkers went out to the bar yesterday or last night, and someone over there is smelling a little funky monkey. ick. Happy Friday!!!
